Shadow Me Pail

Shadow Me Pail

A Poem by Cornelia Echevarria
"

This is about a lovers hidden love from his once youthful love whose beauty is pale in comparison to a newer sought love with someone else.

"
My head doth lay upon thy chest
it doth wonder why mine heart cannot take rest
for maybe it is another heart you have taken to yourself
hiding it ever so deep within
mine heart so attune to thine
that I feel her ever so close
Close enough to see her face shadowed in thine eyes
for you do not look upon me as once you did
Love love why has thou failed me in mine time of old

A very touching poem. I love the Olde' English you chose to use. Just wonderin' though is pail supposed to be pale?
