Weaver

Weaver

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

cafe inspiration thank you Emily

"
weaver was young
weaver had longer blond hair
weaver had soul
hiking boots
his Dad together
the scree field opened
took weaver
left his dad
and I remember the Aspens shedding their tears
every year
a stamp ,a Vibram print high on the chair
a line low on the door
Weaver in my heart
First last name in school

I sense the fondly factual tone, and also appreciate the nostalgic, bereft sentiments to this poem, I hope you feel some comfort in knowing that we really all go through these phases from time to time and they certainly have made me personally, re-evaluate life's meanings and my humble place within it, nice write

I like spare
spare words can carry more emotion than multisyllable grandiose words
spare is like an arrow's shaft flying straight and true into the bull's eye of the heart

very well donewell done

Everyone who passes through our lives leaves their footprints in our hearts, they remain in our faded memories. Weaver's footprints across yours...
...each footprint a piece in this lovely poem...

Wow, this is soo powerful. The structure, your tone, and just the overall flow and feeling of this poem is pure beauty. My favorite line is "Weaver in my heart
First last name in school". Great job, Lee :)

Ah, yes. Felt this one deep in my bones. You've reached back brilliantly, then brought it on home. And that format, that whittling down the memory to its bare essence/ was tight. Perfect
