Grieving To Heal

Grieving To Heal

A Poem by Stonz P.

what may seem to be

for the expected good

may or may not be

let not all who live grieve

as one does

living each day to die

drip by drip i drain myself

for bit by bit i shatter myself

mourning the presence of

absences unkown afore drifting

in delirium in wonderment of

how much of one is left to atone

for the other to lie

to deceive by changing

to carelessly transform these

bloodless bones to stone

crashing against waves of sorrow

hoping once more to endure

to feel or not to feel

such is the dilemma

where once there bloomed life

now no soul dares tread nearby

only melancholy knocks

at rotting doors with locks

devoid of keys

buried away within

deep dead dreams of

long lost hopes which perhaps

the multitudes possess to

always have known better

yet on this deathless path of

eternity i shall crawl alone

let all who live heal

as one must

dying each day to live

what may seem to be

for the afeared worst

may or may not be

This is an insight, because we wait for the perfect moment and we wait for the perfect people to be around. Sometimes, we don't know what we are digging at, it could be mere bones or treasure. There is no way you can be sad, there is no way you can be perfectly happy. Merely, we are hanging in between because we can swing to the corner basis on our decision. Perhaps, this is how we fix things?

yes, as Anne said, this is a perfect description....dying each day to live---

and i love the line. "mourning the presence of absences..."

and the way you personify melancholy also works so well in this...

nicely done.

I do agree with that.
Like a new ripple from each drop.
Transforming bloodless bones to stone, crashing against waves of sorrow- Powerful lines. Love them

You r right, to feel or not feel is indeed a tricky question and i still don't know the answer.I like your tragedy flavoured poems better than the happy ones you have written. This reminded me of what I wrote last night- but this is so much more pronounced and polished and praiseworthy.

okay... yeah..I won't :)
I think that this is the perfect depiction of depression. Each day dying away, no time for living. I thought your imagery was especially strong. I felt this one, there is something so darkly primal about it.

bit by bit i shatter myself
drip by drip i drain myself
mourning the presence of
absences unkown afore
driven to madness wondering
how much of one is left to atone
for the other to lie
to deceive by changing
to carelessly transform these
bloodless bones to stone
crashing against waves of sorrow
hoping once more to endure

Life can be terribly hard and our inner lives can be the most difficult existence of all.
