Far too cold

this poem is dedicated to my father

The days they seem so long, and the nights are far too cold

I remember the day you left, though I wasn't very old

It seems like only yesterday I seen your smiling face

Replacing those terrible memories I'd tried so hard to erase

I wonder if you miss me, or if you even care

It hurts so bad, but I know that lifes not fair

I hope I'll see you someday, be in your arms once more

But it won't be for long, cause it never was before

I would have to disagree with tate. It is very well written. It's written in a more simple tone but as Wordsworth believed that poetry should be simple and for the masses, so you accomplished in expressing your emotions without saturating them with metaphors and over the top jazz. I like how it ends as well, an ephiphany reached.

While this one wasnt as well written it was as well ended bravo tate
