Wingless Seraphs

Wingless Seraphs

A Poem by darem aq.

Wingless Seraphs

Blinded bearer rambling conflict grounds

Footsteps in blood, treading on corpse’s mounds

Scar adorned skyline through vision’s extent

Virtues of hatred in excess

Vestige of the unjust torment

Banners and flags

Held in hollow faiths

Serving slaves of punishment

Unto these innocent transgressors

For ages today, what have we done?

This massacre, this curse

Is all what we’ve supported

This plague we have fed

The blood we have shed

These dried tears

These towering fears

Standing tall for all what we ever loathed

Harvesting the odium grown on trees

Cadence of our words

Manipulating the truth received

Vesting puppeteer’s strings

Colliding the external

With What's inside

This is indeed a revelation!

It's the massacre of thought and propaganda of a new dogma... that's what this poem is talking about!

We have killed every aspect of self-exploration and self-liberation, taking care of and driving our attention to what is more mundane rather than focusing on the discovery of the divine aspects in Man!

All, in return, have led to brainwashing our minds by time! Resulting in a state of self-ignorance and the sacrament of overindulgence!
This state that we live have made us (most of us) nothing more than sheeps... falling for any falsity expressed in "UPPER" language and notions...

FOR HE WHO STANDS FOR NOTHING, SHALL FALL FOR ANYTHING!!!

The odium grown on trees...
unfortunately this is one of the most humanity-defining statements I've ever read.
We are all master puppeteers and puppets in kind. Our Achilles Heel is our unwillingness to realize what and who we are and how we can make that something more than what we have become.
See? Your poem made me think, philosophize a bit this morning, tired as I am. Wonderfully done.

I liked the text size change on the last line, it gives it a whispered, dark and eerie tone of warning. Nicely written, good word choice.

Wonderful. Intense and very powerful.
Very detailed and had a very old fashioned ring to it. Loved it =) 10/10
