Your Love, Your Heart

Your Love, Your Heart

A Poem by David Kwaku

Without you, I have no soul.
I'm just a vacuum floating in a void.
I am in no rush,
let's move at a snail pace.
If my heart face shows I'm about to lose the race,
I will show another side of me.
And it will be gone without a trace.
Hold me, knight me with the sword of your love.
Tear my darkness with your bare hands.
Unravel a fairy tale like it was the first time.
Forge a passport across the boundaries of my mind, and into my soul.
Cover the misplaced memories, and paint a new abstract that means more than nothing.
Blue ink turns red roses into purple roses.
I'm blind to what the naked heart exposes.
But I see and I know,
Your love becomes a magic wand with a diamond heart.
