On Parys Mountain

On Parys Mountain

A Poem by Davie A
"

Parys mountain is a place in Anglesey north Wales. This is what happened when two people went walking there and got caught in a torrential summer rain storm

"

Its beauty sublime in picturesque splendour
Sharp rocks that are cruel, though our feelings are tender
Together in what must be the bleakest of places
We hug and we kiss as rain runs down our faces

The kaleidoscope colours, of red and purple hues
A surreal backdrop to the panoramic views
Both alone on a mountain, yet closer together
A day in my heart that I shall cherish forever

The rain batters down, we're bedraggled and soaking
With the fall of each raindrop my desire invoking
You open your coat, your breasts warm and inviting
Sweet taste of the rain on your skin is exciting

Mingled with perfume and the smell of the heather
Such erotic delight in the cruellest of weather
We passionately kiss, arms wrapped round each other
Such feelings of love I've not felt for another

Your hair's wet and wild as it clings to your skin
Making sensual patterns and inviting me in
I kiss at your neck which increases desire
My heart beat is faster and my body's on fire

The white blouse you wear is soaked and now gaping
Exposing warm flesh that is there for the taking
Caressing your body makes me ache for your touch
Oh how I adore sensual moments so much

A day to remember in the bleakest of places,
Yet wonder and magic reflects in our faces
As in the last line from the film Casablanca
We’ll always have Parys, for now and forever
