Always Worth It

For the one I can never have but can't help thinking of.

 

From the moment your words

penetrated my mind

I felt a stimulating stirring

in my brain that I knew

would shake me up.

Never could I imagine

they would be the ingredients

in helping create a better man.

It is said that knowledge is power

and the workout I get

with the things you ask and say

has helped my mind evolve

from fireman to Hercules.

To truly know you

is the desire to know you more.

The tenderness of your soul

is like a gentle rain

on a warm spring day.

You have the heart of a Phoenix

and the spirit of a Warrior Princess.

You’re so stunning in appearance

still the deeper below the skin I’ve explored

the more beautiful you become.

You are the kind of lady

that could turn an eloquent evening

into a passionate night,

followed by an intellectual breakfast,

all the things you deserve to have in return

plus worth being in my thoughts everyday.

Now this is something I can relate to! To find a person who draws you out of yourself so that you become the hero of legend. A woman can do that for a man with her love. Just seeing the world through her eyes and then realizing that you actually understand her and she understands you changes your very nature. Her being out of reach is almost a blessing. She remains perfect. You never let her down. Now all your sips of coffee will carry the sent of her to your mind as you read her words over breakfast.
