A Song In The Key Of Rain

A Song In The Key Of Rain

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

The much needed rain we got this morning inspired this piece.

"

Water droplets fall

Gently massaging the Earth,

Bringing new life to dull dry land.

The sounds the rain makes

Become a soulful hymn,

A spiritual revival

Not only for the parched planet

But for those connect

With nature’s unseen heart.

Never out of tune

She brings peace

To a cluttered atmosphere.

The refreshing scent she leaves

In her aftermath

Is the antidote

That clears my busy mind.

This brings a song to mind by Eddie Rabbit , the smell of petrichor in late spring, can't beat that, gorgeous poem my friend.

A very good point.
Ah yes... The aftermath is most telling. This is where the truth is. Did we receive and antidote or was the world simply washed out and left in rubble?
I like the thought of a song in rain blended with "her song". Very gentle and extremely loving write.

Thank you for your input sir. And posing a new question. LOL
The earthy scent of rain is truly an antidote. And the first showers are awaited and welcomed so much, especially in hot summers like we have here. This is a lovely poem with a universal appeal and reads like a song...

Thank you very much hon.
there is something about the rhythm of the rain and the tune it makes, as the drops beat their weary paths and die...as paul simon wrote.

i hear the rhythm of it in this poem, and feel its cleansing nature.

We were just talking about California getting rain this morning at work. Trust me, we down here in South Texas know how you feel. Fortunately for me down here in TX, your rain allowed me to read this wonderful poem. Very cool my friend.
