A double edge sword

Cuts both ways

But the sickle

Is only dangerous

One way,

Still they can both

End with the end.

So swing

The judgement hammer

Fall and see

Just how effective

Your point is.

You can bring

Your nerves of steel

But your ideals

Won’t be polished enough

To generate interest

In the killing fields.

tired of all the rhetoric and blaming, Cowboy? ;) so am i! always a risk to write poetry using second person perspective .. risking readers being put on the defensive .. as if being judged .. but .. that's your point isn't it?! ;) i just watched an Avenger's movie last night and so the weapons sparked instant images and action in me noodle .. especially Thor and his "judgement" hammer .. my prescription is stop watching and reading all news ... hope you are feeling the best sir .. and staying safe amidst our wonderful pandemic .. arrrrrrrrrgh!
