The Rainbow And Humanity

The Rainbow And Humanity

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

seeing this rainbow the other day got me thinking

"

Within the rainbow

is the same air I breathe

flowing so naturally

as the oxygen through my lungs.

Over the rainbow

is the very same heaven

that created us both,

each with our own unique traits.

The end of the rainbow

touches the same soil

I journey upon everyday

while discovering Mother Nature.

So it makes me think

that this rainbow is no different

then you and me…

So why does it’s colors

blend so harmoniously

for the world to see

yet colors still clash amongst humanity.

So why does it’s colors
blend so harmoniously
for the world to see
yet colors still clash amongst humanity.

A most profound poem, with a great message therein,we may never know

the answers to why the colors still clash among humanity, if only the world

could indeed live and blend in harmony, 'alas that cannot be,there will
always be a indifferences of life....

Superb Pen Dale!

My reaction is this. How would a poem be from the rainbow's point of view? How wld the rainbow see us? Wld it be born in hope, see nothing to make it want to be ... and fade? What, o what does the rainbow think of us???

I have to agree with the sentiment our wise Poeticpiers. Having seen humanity use the beauty of color as a judgment of a person, I am more than frustrated as we know under this skin we all have the same soul within. You have revealed exquisitely that a person is shown by the merit of their actions and I hope people will truly meditate on this piece, as we all need to come together in humanity. You have used one of my favorite metaphors and made a profound statement of truth. I hope people can see a bit clearer when they look at their fellow man after reading this powerful prose. Well Done ~ Jude :-)

I agree with Poeticpiers...so many colors of the rainbow...showing beauty...as does humanity to those of us that are willing to stop and see the beauty THROUGH AND BECAUSE OF our differences. Nice Write!!

The rainbow is no different than you and me... so so true. Noah's ark has always been my favorite story because of the rainbow and the promise it represents. Beautiful.

I simply adore rainbows and I love your take on the one your saw. They are mysterious, beautiful and inspiring, as your poem depicts so beautifully. Good job! ~ Helena

I love this and have been thinking why my brain only sees black with a glimmer of white...... I need to find my colors back.

We are all one family! Much growing together the time to cross that fine line and embrace the unity of our true desire so the whole of humanity may fly higher!

Colours of the rainbow are accepted as seen Colours of humanity's skin are subject to perceptions we have been taught by others
When I lived in Singapore kids of many races and colours played happily together only to be taught by parents that somehow the skin colour made a difference to how they should be perceived.I proudly claim to be colourblind

It is very true that colors can clash and still be one at the same time but the moment humanity clashes... it's war.
