Heroes Never Die

Heroes Never Die

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Inspired by the Megadeth song of the same name and dedicated to all those who have ever served our country.

"

Stars and stripes pride

Is the anthem in their minds

When surrounded by gunfire.

The fight for peace

Is a selfless act,

Second to none.

While you are in the desert

Doesn’t mean you’re deserted

Cause friends and loved ones

Keep you near

While red blooded Americans

Honor your bravery

With every decision

They express freely.

Though some return to tell the tale

And some only in spirit

None of you will ever be forgotten

Cause heroes never die.

These were my favorite lines. To me, these could have been a poem by themself they are so amazing. The entire poem is just...wow... i cant even describe what i thought. I have had family in the military past and present so this touched me deeply.

It's so true what we take for granted as Americans. We take for granted what Heroes sacrifice to guarantee I can get up and fetch a diet soda with light ice and a cupcake. Yeah I know, but it's really a trip for the cupcake. Nevertheless, I take it for granted.

You do not, this was an amazing tribute to those who give us the rights and liberties we do have. And with every sacrifice, we as a people only grow stronger. Beautiful. I hope you sent this to them.

With Love,

Jaidyn

Very patriotic write. I enjoyed: "While you are in the desert/Doesn’t mean you’re deserted." More people need to express this to our troops.

The Purple heart. Few men have them. My dad held his three sliver stars from the korea war and Vietnam war with great pride. A powerful poem. I respect the old Soldiers. Their wars were hard and they gave so much. Today Soldiers are doing the old ways of war. House to house. Hunting and fighting enemies on their land. I pray for peace and I pray we take care of their old and new soldiers wounds. A outstanding poem.

This was amazing. The sentiment and honesty within it captures you from beginning to end and really makes you think of the soldiers that fight our wars. Great job!

This is a timely write Dale With points well made. I know that we in Australia are fiercely proud of our troops, they need our support always, it is a rat hole they are in...

They return to tell the tell? Tell the tale...?
With every in every decision...with any and every decision?

I don't like to critique when the subject is so wonderful, but thought it worthy :-)
Cheers~
