Bubbles

Bubbles

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Seems like when I try to speak

Bubbles fill the air

I'm forever blowing bubbles

For you see I'm just a baby

Learning how to talk

Learning how to crawl

Learning how to walk

I sat up for the first time today

My mom was so happy

I said my first word

Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles

Seems like when I try to speak

Bubbles fill the air

I'm forever blowing bubbles

This is simple in the words, but the meaning is so complex. How many times have parents watched their child take their first step, turned over for the first time, smiled before they could talk and wondered "What are thinking?" I know, when I watched my daughter before she could verbalize her thoughts, I wonder things like "What made her laugh? Was it my winning personality or the fly that landed on my head?"

Nice write.

Brought back memories. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Looking forward to those grandkids. You are a very fortunate lady to have those grand babies! Hugs, carole

Aww that is cute too! Funny when a baby does that...gross when an adult does it....eeek! I like the whimsical poetry you do. Short and sweet! Happy doses of lightness...like bubbles! Take care of yourself!
