Reality floating on dreams Suffocating, regulating, devastating it seems Please save me, praise me, never betray me Protect me, correct me, never neglect me This is my mantra, This is my plea.
Trusting to follow your whim, Mistrusting my decisions: It is like trusting your gut over your mind and logic. Those two rarely agree on any decision. I liked your word play in this poem and it had that light touch of darkness too it.
I like the frenetic pace this piece. It puts its trust in words to mirror the trust placed in the person being addressed by the poem. Some great assonance and parallelism too.
