Sin

Sin

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

It is a lonely whisper upon the wind.

An empty glass of bottled sin.

A hunger that crawls beneath your skin.

A lust that consumes you from deep within.

It is a craving so strong it eats you whole,

as it slowly devours your soul.

It is a sudden urge to lose control.

A feeling you just can’t console

As you give in to its wicked ways,

and your vision begins to haze.

Something inside seems to sway

and your judgment comes in to play

The Devil screams as you prevail.

For he has yet again failed.

I like this. I also like the way you used the two colors and the picture as well. Well done.

Everyone takes the choose to sin or not......even the dear angels above......those whom tempt us every day aren't demons or horried looking creatuers......they are fallen angels......angels who have sinned and cast from the glory of god......sin has it's place as does every thing else on earth........as I have always said......good and evil.......good can not exist without evil but true evil can exist without good......

Once again, loved the poem. The thing about your writing that appeals to me is that the imagery makes you feel like your actually part of the story. In this case I like how you didn't make the devil so clear as you did in one of your other poems. That's important to the appeal because sometimes one can be a devil to themselves.

Your truly one of my favorite writers on this site. Just because I'd like to know, what inspired you to write this poem? It's always interesting for me to learn the stories behind the poems. Have you had a chance to read my poem "Verses"? It's my first epic poem ever!

it is so very true that doing the right thing can sometimes be the hardest thing. It is left up to the individual ultimately how far they will far and how hard they are willing to fight for what's right. a great write with a nice smooth flow; an easy read with a message.
