A Man Hears a Lonely Cry

A Man Hears a Lonely Cry

A Poem by Oz in Exile
"

Inspired by my friend Heather. She was missing her man and feeling down, so I wrote this bit o' poetry for her.

"

A Man Hears a Lonely Cry

In the stillness there,
An aching heartbeat resounds
To echo my own.

I will sing to you,
A voice to guide through the dark:
"You are not alone

Soon you will be whole.
This is both fact and comfort;
Arms will hold you close."

This is my small gift.
I made it with hands and heart,
Certain it is truth.

So beautifully simple. Such a touching reminder that her loneliness is but a temporary yearning. Sigh.
