Oz in Exile

I've been out of the writing game for a while now, but I'm roaring back with a vengeance. Part of that is coming back into contact with other writers, sharing ideas and having others read my work. I mean, you can only operate in a vacuum for so long, right? Anyway, I'm interested in posting a number of different things here. I have high hopes for the future and am interested to see if WritersCafe can help.

Lately, I've been developing a new style of poetry (at least I've never heard of anyone doing this) where each stanza is a stand alone haiku. I call it 'embedded poetry' because I feel that there is poetry within the poem itself. I strive to make each haiku strong enough so it can be read on it's own, but also I want it to contribute to the overall 'story' of the poem. It's definitely a challenge, but something that I've been enjoying for a while now. I thought it was finally time to start sharing this with others.
