A Pleasant Passage of Time

A Pleasant Passage of Time

A Poem by Oz in Exile
"

Second poem I wrote in my style of embedded poetry. Enjoy.

A Pleasant Passage of Time

To youth! and the days

Left behind for tomorrow

And the next day's night

Oh, how Summer months

Pass in slow, sweet progression

Seeming without end.

Will you mind them gone,

Those leaves as they age and fall

To a hard, dry soil?

Will you waste your days

In a memory of Spring

As the soft snow falls?

I think masterpiece is a little over zealous, but your sentiment is definitely all there! I'm trying to still work out your embedded approach, because I understand it but I think you have to be careful with it. As a thought process it is good though, I do think that!

It's pretty small and simple, yet it sure does got a whole lot of meaning behind it

On the other hand, it's still really good...
