Feeling for a Pulse

Feeling for a Pulse

A Poem by Diana

And everywhere you go
the world is frozen,
blue-cold and covered in snow.

And icy patches lie
beneath the tentative pavement.

And you, dear little soul,
are just feeling for a pulse.

I do agree. A lot of people are self absorbed and selfish so they feel cold and uncaring for they are all about themselves and what they can take and not give in love and warmth or even empathy. Some people are in total hibernation too to their surroundings and care less about the comfort of others. Your poems are wonderfully warm and not cold like the world ...:)...........

Thank you, Pryde.
Even the coldest of hearts have a pulse if you look hard enough.

Very nice Diana...the world can be a very cold place at times...but friends can sure add a bit of warmth to the mix.

True story. Thank you, Jack.
the world is frozen because we make it so...if we had more warmth, we would melt the ice.

nicely expressed.

Every I adds to the we. That's what "we" forget. Nice insight, Jacob.
Ah ! I feel this way so often, and winter has nothing to do with it. I will start worrying when I stop looking for a pulse. Excellent write. ~Jim

Hi Di.

This one led me to write of a visit to Barnes and Noble. Why? Because it said something I recognized inside - behind my eyes - that spoke of many human conditions and my own perception of what you were thinking.

Thanks hon.
