Tectonic.

Tectonic.

A Poem by Nicole Doherty

If sadness comes in waves,
I’m getting hit with tsunamis,

and if fear is the earthquake
setting off the currents,

my brain is tectonic,
as my expectations and reality
have collided oh so violently,

and the tidal wave
of insanity
has slowly drowned me
efficiently.

I wrote this at about 4 am one morning very quickly, and I like how it turned out, but there may be some slight errors. Who knows?
