Thank You

Thank You

A Poem by Tabitha Deasún
"

Not sure how to describe this piece. It's a bitter, angry poem. Written to express the betrayal that can be felt when trust is ruined. When that one person you thought could never hurt you, does.

"
Thank you for all that you ever said
For making me believe that I was worth it
Worth risking it all just to have a chance with me

Thank you for all that you ever said
For making me believe that I was special
Even when I was afraid of someday being a burden

Thank you for all that you ever said
For making me believe that I was amazing
When I didn't see it in myself

Thank you for everything you made me feel
Confidence in seeking independence for myself
Trust that would never be broken
Love that I never thought to have a chance at
Hope of a bright future in your arms

And thank you for taking it all away
By walking away from us and giving up on me
Proving that I wasn't any of those things
Not to you, anymore

Author's Note

Tabitha Deasún
Definitely one of my more angry releases. I can't say whether it's a good piece or not. I just know that some of what I write to release is sorrowful. Never bitter or angry. This was definitely...both of those and different for me.
