tocking

tocking

A Poem by Ed Hart
"

yes, i know

"

my heart

asks if i'm ready

yes

it is different now

beyond thought

what

could things be made of

than nothing at all

doesn't that make you smile

I love the smile. Good to read you.

I see your point. Sometimes the time spent is worth it despite the noise being expelled.

Sometimes - when I read a sweet collection of words like this, I want to fly into the future, if only briefly. But, tis impossible. However, if 'I've learned one thing it is, that real love in all its guises still makes one smile from the heart out. Just keep the clock going, sir Hart - season to season ad infinitum..

The heart is always ready; it just needs that extra little 'tock' to overrule the head.

Beccy.

"tick" is the waiting, "tock" is the getting there.

for every action there an anticipation...
that makes me smile...

~ oh, what a beautiful ode to creativity and creation... it reminds me of blank pages on which poetry is written...

~ thank you, maestro ed. ... :)
"From nothing, nothing is made" King lear said to his daughter Cordelia...You see Ed, he too was waiting for the words that say "I love you" above all else. But tocking, the reasonable movement of time,
is not the syllogistic premise of ticking. Nor is it it's opposite. It is just growing old...and yes, that makes me smile.....point well taken dear ed.....dana

you skip along at such elevated points, i'm like a child watching a high wire act...
When you get to our age the heart asks many such questions ;usually with similar answers.
Poignant and touching dear friend. Beautiful and rich. And the answer is yes it does.
