BOW

BOW

A Poem by Eddie Phillips
"

Why do men bow to ask for her hand?

"

He didn't have to make you
He did this by his grace
He etched for me perfection
in the beauty of your face.

He did not have to craft you
to the desires of my soul
so that everytime I hold you
we both are made whole.

He made your touch my bliss
and set your love as my tao
I do not feel worthy of
what his grace has allowed

So now as I come to you
and ask you for your vow
I must honor God's great masterpiece
and take my knee and bow.

I think this would make a beautiful proposal. How wonderful to feel that the love you have for a person is a gift from God and they are the vision of that gift.

Another good write- just be worried when you hear other guys reeling it off in restaurants to their girlfriends :)
