Chapter II Departure

The actual beginning

        “ZENNON WAKE UP” Zennon shoots up from his bed, breathing heavily, heart racing and cold sweat rolling down his chin. After Zennon has calmed a bit a voice spoke to him.

“Is ever thing alright looked like you were having a horrid dream was it the same one?” asked Alvar

"nay they be the same people but different place.” Zennon replies.

Alvar pauses for a second “hmmm. Is that so well then we shall discus it some other time but first fix your things.”

“Huh? Why where are we going” Zennon asks

“it’s not where we’re going it’s where you’re going, you’ve been looking forward to this for the past few weeks” Alvar replied.

              As soon as Alvar ends his sentence Zennon’s face lit up with delight. “Well I will be waiting down stairs then.” Said Alvar as he leaves the room. Zennon quickly scrambles around the room for the supplies he saved and prepared days before. His supplies include several small herbs, health and manna potions, some magical talismans, scrolls, charms, runes and a change of clothes. He thought he pretty much had everything so he went downstairs.
                 

                Alvar was sitting in his study reading a book of arcane spells and equipment. As he can notices Zennon closes the books then stands up to gestures Zennon to fallow. Alvar walks down the hall until he reaches a stone wall. Zennon was curious about where they are going for it was just a dead end, it’s been three years and a few months since Alvar found Zennon on the streets and started to raise him as his own, Zennon thought he knew ever part of the tower, that’s when Alvar puts his hand against the wall and mumbles archaic words. Zennon was amazed for as soon as Alvar finished the wall starts to crumble and fall apart both went through and when Zennon looked back the passage was sealed as if nothing ever happened. The passage leads to an enchanting room filled with  So many potions, symbols, runes and other magical things he has never seen before

“master what is this place” Zennon asked

“I suppose you can call it my treasury." said Alvar.

"Now then Zennon remember all the quests I took you on." Alvar continued

“yes master either to collect a certain item, preformed a certain task and such correct.” said Zennon

“aye boy, you have already acquired and slightly mastered various magic with my guidance of course. now it’s time for the last magic I can grant you, but first you must venture on a quest and since your seventeen now I think it be best to go without me "said Alvar

" what must I do master" Zennon asked

"you must find the Elux  Lucis, bath and absorb the light of  during the new moon" said Alvar

Zennon just stared at Alvar with a blank face

" it will almost be like be like obtaining advanced Ignis, aqua, Ventus and such “Alvar assured Zennon

" but master I almost died trying to acquire the ability to do those spells" Zennon complained

" your still alive aren't you. Ah yes I forgot to mention a Elux Lucis is a type of dragon with no physical form, to bath in its light you must basically endure its spell of light and  lightning" Alvar said with a smirk

"sounds painful" Zennon said

"Not quite only the lightning part, the light is fine but finding it is the real task" said Alvar

"and I will be alone?" asked Zennon

"No Kura will go with you" Alvar answered

From the shadows a black cat suddenly appeared and sat next to Zennon

"but master Kura is just a cat how can he help" asked Zennon

" I'll have you know that I am rather intellectual and knowledgeable in the magical arts not to mention I know a few spells myself." a unknown voice said

"@_@ m-master that was you right?" Zennon asked

Alvar shook his head and looked at Kura Zennon did the same

"what are you looking at you bumbling idiot " asked Kura

When Zennon saw Kura speak the was shocked he often played with Kura but he never knew he could talk

"h-he can talk!? “Said Zennon

"Yes yes I believe we noticed that already" said Kura

"Now then be on with you" Alvar cut in and opened the hidden door beneath Zennon to exit the tower it was so sudden that Zennon just realized it when he was falling he quickly used Ventus magia levitation to reduce the impact of the fall. Once he reached the earth he took one last look at the floating tower before departing on his quest.

"So where should we start Kura?" Asked Zennon
" didn't you learn anything on your past quests fool" replied Kura

" *sigh* when trying to find something you know nothing about gather information on it " said Zennon

"And how do you suppose we do that?" Kura asked

" we could have looked around in Alvar’s tower" said Zennon

"Fool he won't let us back up unless we finish this quest think of something else" said Kura

" we could look around the city of duhar" said Zennon

"Now you're thinking now come on let's go" said Kura
