Trust In Love Again

Trust In Love Again

A Poem by E.P. Robles
"

Love

"
In the depths of time where passion lies,
A flame ignited, refusing goodbyes.
With words unspoken, hearts intertwined,
Illuminating love, the rarest find.

I am with you.

Through the tempest's rage, our souls remain,
United, steadfast, defying the pain.
Like stars that gleam in a midnight sky,
We soar on wings, together we fly.

I will be there.

Through the trials faced, we're tested anew,
Yet our love endures, strong and true.
In every moment, with each passing day,
I find solace in your arms, come what may.

I am loving you.

The seasons change, as life unfolds,
But our love, unwavering, forever holds.
Through distant lands and oceans wide,
Our hearts connected, side by side.

So fight, baby fight.

In the darkest night, I'll be your light,
Guiding you through shadows, shining bright.
When tears fall like rain, I'll wipe them away,
For you, my love, forever I'll stay.

Imagination can break down those walls.

No matter the distance or time that's gone,
Our love remains, unyielding and strong.
For you are the anchor that keeps me true,
My heart's compass, my love for you.

so fight!  Baby fight! To win back love again.

So let the world spin, with its twists and turns,
In your embrace, my heart forever yearns.
For in this journey, through life's grand view,
I'll keep still loving you, forever, anew.

Where we go again, away from the start.  And I'll change
to make you feel the love within my broken heart.

No author’s notes which will allow the reader free rein over your lines, interpreting them as they sit fit. This is a poem from one with a heart that has been broken, who is clinging to the hope of a rekindling of love from the one who has his heart anchored in romance. There is certainly devotion in these words and a willingness to trust again where others might not tread. This is a promise of eternal love and beautiful it is too. In these days of throw away, eternity is more than special.

It's a very beautiful sentiment, eloquently expressed, this unwavering love with its sense of duty and obligation. But, as always, it takes two to tango and who knows the perspective viewed from the opposite side of the dedication? Love can be the sweetest reward between friends grown accustomed to each other's eccentricities or it can be the bitter taste of tears from failed expectations and a partner grown disconcerted and distant with dissatisfaction. I do know that a love so strong, once shaken from its foundations, is a most difficult thing to rebuild like an earthquake that has tumbled the buildings of our hearts. You present the scenario flawlessly in this write and I enjoyed the read. I'm pulling for the protagonist because I've always been a sucker for a happy ending. Maybe he'll be so fortunate that the object of his desire is too. Great write. F.G.

Beautifully expressed words through the changes of love, it's always flowing into something new. We sometimes fail to see what love is changing into. Love images flowing inside the words ;-}
