Double Agent

Double Agent

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Double Agent

a splash of make-up

and your reality disappears

'neath soft spoken words

uttered in covert breath

so i won't hear

your reticent heart

make-up its mind

to journey

i love a good spy story but this one is so sad...slipping out under the cloak of make-up and false pre-tense to rendezvous with Dr. Strange Love, returning at daybreak as if nothing happened...great write
