adjectives lost

you split my infinitive

i became a preposition with no object
of attention,
thus my sentence is forever
intransitive

and i no longer have use for the verb
"to-love."

I like the wordplay on grammar rules. Forever intransitive! The irreverence belies the dark tone of the subject matter, which is something I appreciate. There is something masterful about this.

The Romans and their rules … the empire long since crumbled … yet they hang onto infinitives. Clever write, Jacob.

A wonderfully creative take on past/ present tense. What we were and what we are now to someone, as well as ourselves.
