The hard Wear

The hard Wear

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

The hard Wear

the drill bit, dull aching

porous memories,

riddled with numb pain

a heart's membrane nailed to a bitter wall

the art of destruction

devilish eyes ponder her work

she smiles,

starts the machine again,

in someone else's room.
