Crash

Crash

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Crash

total liquidation

thoughts to ink

ink to paper,

stocks of the heart sold

to the highest bidder,

moving on to another life,

no pens,

no keys

no prophetic shape needed

only a "soul for sale" sign

crookedly planted in a yard of despair

creativity inhaled out of thin air

breathing erratic

like Bernie Madoff

just made off

with all my wealth of feelings

leaving me totally

blank.

oh oh - but it will recover, the bull to bear!

A poetic stock such as yours is bullion and can never lose value!
