into the Wild

into the Wild

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

into the Wild

perturbed metaphors,

(angered at narrow minded realists

who only want safety in compliant similes

the risks within the rhyme

impertinence sublime)

they will find their optimism

in line with suitable suitors

and convey what messages

the word robbers covet

plagiarized comfort

a song remains the same

but with different outlooks and moods

here i am at the gate

letting the poem in,

and then with a smile

feeding it to the wolves.

I guess we all put our thoughts at risk on an open site that invites both wolves and lambs to the pen :)

You never know what will wander in when the gate is opened, fortunately for us today it was one of your poems. My, what big fonts you have. :) I think I get this Jacob. Good job here.

As a wolf that voraciously devours your words, Jacob, my preferred diet will still be restricted ti chewing up sacred cows. Sic transit gloria mundi.

Giving them their pound of flesh today eh, Jacob? Let the growling begin! I enjoyed. I think I want a juicy steak now.

The last verse is so rebellious. spit and vinegar and shared in my heart. Give the wolves what they will take. You're prolific and there will be no chance of them starving on your delicacies

Smiles as saliva is licked from her chops. A very tasty piece it is too. Chuckles. Nice to see you don't take yourself to seriously.

Amen........
This caught my eye for two reasons Jacob. Firstly, I is the second time today I have seen the word plagiarized in a poem, and secondly, the topic itself as well as the entire piece lends itself to my own similar thoughts on others opinions and why they are made, when it would be so much easier for them to say nothing at all.
n the short time I have known you, I would say that you are certainly a risk taker of sublime impertinence :)
You see difference as a challenge, not something to avoid an tow the line.
And once more, you nailed it.
