Book Mark

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Book Mark

you were the foxy novel

i wanted to wrap my eyes around

squeeze the pages, dog ear your heart

save it for later, then forever

when i started to drift off to sleep

when i couldn't read the fading words

when the nightlight burned out

like thoughts of you dreamed

in epilogues

i wanted to feel your binding

the supple-leather sweetness

as i traced paragraphs of sensuality

on onion skin

patterns of playful prologues

am i too foreword?

When you combine clever with sexy you get this Jacob, dressed in fine leather...silky smooth :)
Expanding your metaphorical horizons, genius? I like the new suit :)

perfectly :)
I am enjoying your metaphorical parallel writing that uses great juxtapositions to compare to life and relationships.

This is somewhat erotic...........please tell me you have not been reading 50 Shades of Grey!

You have again weaved your magic with this one. Very sensual tone throughout, with a great choice as words as always.

And that last line is very, very clever! I just loved that ending!
Another great piece of writing, Jacob. Very nice work!

Love your word choice in this one, smartly done. Somehow the entire poem reads somewhat lyrical to me with a nice flow. "Foxy novel", like that expression very much.

onion skin suggests she's multi layered, clever metaphor for indulging in a little foreplay, a book mark indeed
