transaction

transaction

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

transaction

resolutions discarded

promises sought out in payment

justification of insensitivity...

(delinquent funds of the heart)

and with so little interest

an apathetic credit card

with a higher emotional spending limit

is an oxymoron of sorts

just when i almost touched you

you closed your account

and i was left with no balance

to the paradoxical way i feel.

Haha didn't know even transactions could be romanticized into a relationship allegory. I think you've used just the correct expressions to connect both.

thank you for your kind review,
j.
you certainly have an accomplished way with words but unfortunately, my simple mind does not have as fluid a grasp on their intent
But it sounds romantically underfunded

My goodness Jacob you have found so many ways to describe the bitter loss of love in such amazing allegory. They are always filled with valid descriptions and captured emotions.
