Cacophony of the KeysA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
a
serenade of cicadas outside my window while inside fruit flies
attach to my screen i type peach tree poems with apricot rhymes and then pear them down to just a couple accents two syllables of apple
wonder suddenly the serenade
stops and i am startled by the
silence there is no outside no window no me just a wall of citrus
climbing and a small toad hopping randomly waiting for a song. erin-cilberto 6/26/19 © 2019 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
