Given my lack of insight I consider myself an abstract of the most extreme nature LOL To say I love these lines would be... wait what was my position? This is all quite clever:) Jacob
Occasionally, a work, stalled.
And, let's face it, we often just settle; most are not built for unending revisions--
an even less likely activity when faced with the pressure of coming up with
enough posts to participate in community writing.
Still, our shaky poetic hammer does, from time to time, manage to strike
a lyrical nail or two, squarely.
Excellent poem, Jacob!

love your insights here, Jimmy...you are so spot on...
thank you,

J, without a doubt, one of my favorites from the past two years. Perhaps it's because I identify with every line. You've captured not only the art and love of poetry, but the doubt that streams through us, a common undercurrent we all ride and sometimes drown in. May I suggest you not re-write? Poem and poet great as is.

i appreciate your words and that you may identify...the irony is i just pour them out....that is the way my muse does to me...once i finish...i seldom, if ever, go back...just move on to the next one.
