the eyes of gone

the eyes of gone

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the eyes of gone

resilient arms

enfold the tears which

levitate the passion's weight

after the circle is shorn

in uneven pattern

the threads calling for recount.

If only we could recount the threads. The title of this one really jumped out at me. Such a poignant feel to this...

A concoction of things in this write an election flys by in mind and how the patterns in some relationships start to unravel for relationships are never truly equal or even. Two people will always be at odds with each other.

Spot on, sir. Thank you, andrew,

"threads calling for a recount" -- that phrase summons up so much & it's not just about election results. I'm reminded of how some write erotica as unfolding on high-thread-count sheets only . . . so many different ways to be discriminating (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You are very welcome.
the threads calling for a recount.... somehow this doesn't sound like an optimistic outlook for whomever the threads represent. A poem which is multi layered in my opinion.

there is no safety in numbers anymore .. is there .. mown down we are in huge but random numbers ... and our eyes weep indiscriminately .. not seeing anymore but feeling both our own and others pain ... there has to be a limit but we ride a sliding scale ............... profoundly apocalyptic maybe ... I could be wrong.. but that's where ya took me this early ayem jacob ............. N.
