In a Cat's Eye

In a Cat's Eye

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

In a Cat's Eye

11 days

18 Cocktails

the truck backs into a Capitol idea

4 dead in Ohio

4 dead in D.C.

twitter me this

you're the riddle now

solve yourself

save yourself

salve yourself

Sylvester finally consumed Tweedy Bird

with a chagrin grin

let's leave it at that.

One old bird I am more than happy to see silenced. One which doesn't tweet sweetly. One that prefers crap to song.

chomp chomp chomp...
:))))
thank you, Chris, and could you please pass me a napkin?
Couldn't have put it better. At least Tweedy bird can't tweet any longer... I mean, that's a fitting punishment for sedition and the attempted dismantling of American democracy. Right?

Another great work!

I am ready to move to Greenland Jacob. USA politics becoming like a third world country. I wrote nothing about this election, the transfer of power. I will write some cartoons. Hello my friend. I hope you are doing well and staying safe.

You are welcome Jacob.
"Sylvester finally consumed Tweedy Bird
with a chagrin grin"....Yeeesss!
Hoping this yellow tweety bird gets swallowed whole, becoming waste at the end he deserves. I wonder how birds feel about his coup of their communication process? Wish we had Batman available to save more than Gotham now-with the Riddler ousted. Brilliant words and metaphors J. Again, you Rock!

There used to be a time when I was aware of every domestic terror event in our nation & tons of people would acknowledge each event & commemorate the dead on social media with now-forgotten lines such as: "we will never forget!" Nowadays, hardly anyone mentions the daily death toll of 3000 or 4000 from covid & I barely even notice news of smaller, forgettable events such as the random domestic terrorist taking down 3 or 4 or a dozen. Wow! How numb I've become & it isn't very comfortable at all (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Wow. Burning commentary, on the similarity of forgotten moments that effervesce their way back to the fore.
Same story, different actors.
