a snapshot tremor

 

 

an old photograph album

languishing to be opened

dusted off,

memories to be savored

 

faces just slightly out of focus

like those days 

and the people we framed

in our hearts.

There is nothing like an old dusty photo album for foggy memories of loved ones; I don't have any of those, they are all in a box under my bed; today we keep photos on our laptops; seriously this is very poignant and usually a tear will fall from one's eye; ah, those everlasting memories, in our hearts.

Fascinating and comforting at the same time to bring those people back to the living world. To remember them with fondness, for their days and the legacy each one of them left behind. I have albums too of parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Then of course the ones that died more recently and too soon. Nostalgic and lovely with it J.

oh the memories .. all just a bit out of focus .. yep! we keep them how we like them don't we .. nice one! kind of warms me heart ... just thinking of those old albums .. with the thick paper pages and little black sticky corners to hold the pics .. Ma and Pa .. yep .. its a good one

me too, PB....
I have an old album from my folks...the pics are from the 1920's up through the 50's....
Some of the people my mom didn't remember....but there are aunts, uncles, grandparents of theirs as well.
Old black and whites....with the really old cars and farm equipment...
