Verbalizing Her Pause

Verbalizing Her Pause

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Verbalizing Her Pause

interceptions

of misconception

and perverted perceptions

faces of shallow wine

drunk of blushed cheeks

you smile covertly

I intercept

miss-concept

persuade myself

the smile is mine

but I only own

the illusion

that your allusion

was directed

at my confusion

unwound then rewound.

This was really, really good. Rhyming, but not in a way that was corny or cliche... Sometimes it's hard to tell, especially in today's day in age. This poem made me feel for men.
Lovely writing, as usual

I am one of those guys that never notices when someone likes or is flirting with me... I have been told on a few occasions the only thing that works is the caveman method of hitting me with a rock or a club:/ So as a default I always assume they are not smiling at me and duck if im wrong

I am absolutely the same....totally oblivious to something like that.
Yes one cannot pause or over analyse one must go with the flow of energy at hand or break the spell in the process.

I detected awkwardness here J, with those blushes. A case of misunderstandings maybe?

Many things can get misinterpreted and we get embarrassed when they do.

I don’t get as embarrassed as I once use to
Man! A rhyming poem from Jacob. I like how it flows simply like a cascading waterfall of sad realizations and watery invalidations. Title is awesome. Long live the Poet....
