A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Tears in the brim

prim and proper decor

no pain allowed exposure

the gentleman tips his cap

Not being able to feel hidden pain is painful in every culture.
"It is a joy to be hidden and a disaster not to be found."
even if it's hidden, pain still matters.

Yes, it surely does.
Thank you, berenongur...
So typical of a British or even to lesser degree American culture. Never show your hand while playing cards. Lovely Jacob

Thank you, Soren,

Never wash your dirty linen in public view. You cry alone. That’s the British stiff upper lip and the pain is no less, but the dignity is more. Wonderfully put j.
