I Love You

All relationships start with the same three words

"I love you."

It also ends in those three words

You can start out as friends but, be careful

When you date who you called your "bestfriend"

Remember that if it doesn't work out

You have risked losing a good friend

But you tried anyways, and you have lost something more

You want to be loved, you don't want to be unloved

But is it really worth losing the good friendship you have?

You may think that when most people say "I love you."

It's a HUGE step, but this days, it's only a HUGE mistake

Many people may say those three words, but do they ever mean it?

If you want to be loved, then don't give up

But one thing you should know is

Most people lie when they tell you those same three words

I realize this because, the more I hear people say those words

The more I see that, "love" loses its meaning

And it does everytime you "THINK" you're in "love"

True love is when your heart skips a beat when you are near someone

Who is close to you, someone who has known you so long that

They know more about you than you think

Love loses its meaning when people say it over and over

Because they never mean it

And I won't write another poem based on love

For, in my eyes, the word "love" has no meaning when you hear it again and again

If you fear that you will never be loved, then keep praying

because if you're a good person, and if you pray long enough

Love will come to you, and it will be something you won't regret

Don't let your fears control your life, try to find love, pray,

And maybe for you,

Love hasn't lost its meaning.
