Love Since The Start

Love Since The Start

A Poem by Atheana Kylee-S. C.

At first our friendship was like this,

We both hated each other so much

Somehow we became great friends,

That's when the spark secretly came

Now before I go,

Rememeber the first time we sat under that tree,

We were so happy

You were like romeo

I was juliet

Oh well,

Now I'm far from the place we met

So obviously we both moved on

Do you remember

The first time we sat under that tree

Hanging out with all our friends

We were so happy

Your eyes sparkled when you looked at me

Your beautiful brown eyes always made me happy

I was Juliet

You were my romeo

Both forbidden to love

Oh well,

I guess even the greates love of two bestfriends,

Eventually comes to an end

I had to go one day,

I saw the look on your face

When you saw me leave

I promised myself that day,

That one day I'll return

And I still hope you'll wait for me

Sitting under that same maple tree.

The great lovers of the past always die or are left to write great stories. The Juliets and Beatrices are the muses for 700 years now. I like the poem. A kind and sweet story. Need a better ending. Funny how we return to old places trying to remember the pleasures of past times. A beautiful poem.

but you can never go back, it is never the same and the tree grows on and is hardly recognizable. but, sometimes if it is fated, something new will be under thqat tree, with the same person or someone else...

.......since that line I already know that this was gonna be a good and cute poem, not to mention that it's sad....

I like the idea of having a good best friend and then eventually fall in love to him/her but never got a chance to really be in love with....touching...
good poem..

How tender, matters of the heart and love that we maybe could have had.. but somehow let slip away. I like that you put Oh well.. but didn't really mean it. It was like you said it, but didn't really think it. The thought was really about the hope of the love waiting.
