[.Time to Grow.]

[.Time to Grow.]

A Poem by Exa Michelle
"

Its about people wasting time and not trying to get anything done in their lives. This is inspired by a student in one of my classes-who will remain unnamed-that never did anything and obviously won't go anywhere in life.

"

The clockhands turn at a steady pace
Slowing as they go
So much time is thrown to waste
Yet none is used to grow
Life is wasted, eyes slam shut
And noone will persist
To try to know, to understand
Just why we all exist
Are we here by circumstance?
Or is this more devine?
Your opinion, your evidence
Is worthless, just like mine
Sit, wait, and wonder
That is what I'll do
And I'll be glad, proud that I
Used my time and grew.

This is nice, cute, and true...I enjoyed it...in part because i'm pretty much that guy/person...so I can relate. Thanks for writing about me.

Nice poem. Reminds me of a couple of people at my work. They just sit and waste their lives away (while I get to do their job as well as mine). But it's all cool, I'll grow while they rot... :) Very well written...

using time wisely is always a good thing but we have to make it affect someone or else it is useless and will die when we die.....

i enjoyed this poem, not 'cause you told me to, it's actually pretty good. :)

This reminds me of my poem "Clean it up."
It is so hard to just tell people to get up DO SOMETHING. Say what you mean.
I love this. People should appreciate being told this and the way you let the poem flow as you chastise is amazing!
