Please Take Me Home

Please Take Me Home

A Poem by Barbara Walker

My soul has watched the immeasurable pain

that this body endures.

Watching through the trials of different medicants

and surgeries,

searching for that judge who will grant a pardon

or, at least, some leniency.

Now, for the fifth time, sobbing from the depths of soul,

body has awakened, begging God,

please, take me home.

barb, you paint the most vivid of pictures, and your words never cease to touch
the heart, the entire scope of your emotions is vividly expressed, and powerful,
only as a wordsmith can render, to be able to feel the soukl in your words,
this poem brings tears to the heart, wow, the feelings are completely consuming.

Your body has outgrown this world. Your soul, possibly too. You want to feel the comfort we can never experiece on this earth compared to Heaven. A very soothing poem that shows there is more than this. I liked this piece.
