An unnecessarily delayed reply

An unnecessarily delayed reply

A Poem by fattycbreezy52
"

Why some people cannot take things the way we want them to take ? They say be humble.I am being perfectly mainstream.Where am I smiling then?

"
I kept waiting for the reply, which was unnecessarily delayed
A reply to my art-spontaneous and unrehearsed:
Unpremeditated and heart-mending.

Buying bullshit is cheaper than buying my poem
Admiring things handmade is not preferable to a mere artifice.
What will become of this world in the years to come?
Whose head will be on whose shoulder in the times of distress?

Well-said, dear fatty, and your sentiments are shared by many.

We pen these things, and give them wings, like homing-pigeons, submission-pigeons, and they make us wait, and wait...and wait, just to hear them say...not what we're looking for.
What are they looking for? Assembly-line, mass-produced, politically-correct, non-judgmental verse. Perhaps we should all write greeting card poetry and just stuff our inspiration and creativity into a shoe box.
