![]() DeliberationA Poem by Jason
Her dark forest blackens my dreams
With the ‘Midnight Clouds’
Interrupting the patterns
Of the shadows
Cast by the thin winter oaks
When the lunar satellite
Reflects the setted sun
And the stars
Dim because of light
-The dream of her is
Put to sleep
There are the nights
When there is no moon
Sometimes camouflaged
Behind the sharpened stars
That peer into my soul
Like her eyes
Why does she appear then?
Only for me to fall in love, again
Smiles at me with that figurative grin
Blonde streaked hair with green eyes staring in
But the night has her eyes illuminated
Like the reflective lens of a panther
That blends into the backdrop
Of the those "vague distant mountains"
Her claws and teeth
Thrust at the valves of my heart
And I suffocate-
Just before death
She let’s go of her hold
And the holes in my chest
bleed
