Falling Apart

Falling Apart

A Poem by Zoya

Thrown up and down, and then around,
A muddled mind- a piece of abstract art.
I wonder if you've ever had those moments,
When you found yourself falling apart.
That foul backbiting, the soul tired of fighting,
That deadly trap- a noose in a rope.
I wonder if you've ever had those moments,
When you lost every bit of your hope.
Betrayed, ignored, left tattered to be abhorred,
From top to toe- all covered in dust.
I wonder if you've ever had those moments,
When you were left with broken trust.

But this world is an illusion, full of confusion,
And often everything is not what it seems.
I wonder if you've ever fought back hard,
Adamant to continue following your dreams.
Many books on shelf, least knowledge of yourself,
Between the body and soul- an invisible door.
I wonder if you've ever looked deep within,
And made efforts to know yourself more.
Life is to be enjoyed, don't be paranoid,
A mistake- you think you're doomed forever.
You might feel that you are falling apart,
But what if you're only falling together?

Philosophy now, Madam? Evolving very well!

I am sure just about everyone can relate to this write, Zoe. We all have had moments where we have fallen in a heap with the weight of the world on our shoulders. Life can be a real meany sometimes! But as you have written here, it takes some serious introspection and willingness to rise up and overcome difficulties that shapes the person we will become. We truly learn who we are when we are faced with adversity.

I enjoyed this piece; very realistic and inspirational with some deft touches of internal and end rhyme. Certainly a piece for many to read and muse upon for their own growth and betterment.

Another strongly written piece, Zoe. Well Done.

Glad you enjoyed. Thank you :)
I think illusion is one of the only things keep us optimistic. The closer you get to raw natural reality the colder, more sterile and arbitrary everything becomes in relation to life. Hope is definitely a form of delusion, but delusion and illusion are not always bad things. I see most mainstream religion in this light; I do not in any way believe in an anthropomorphic god or conscious higher power but I do believe that those beliefs have a lot of power over a person's moral character... usually for the good, but not always. Sometimes delusion can cause a genocide or a holy war or some terroristic madness or maybe just a generation of s****y, bigoted parents.

It's not a bad little poem. You might want to edit some of the lines down. Some are more poetic and sometimes it reads like prose... it's not an aestetchically appealing approach in my opinion.

This is an amazing poem! I love the subtle rhyme, and the repetition of "I wonder if you've ever had those moments". Amazing work!

Very potent and powerful. Many profound thoughts are on display here, and I think everyone can see parts of ourselves or our experiences in this writing. We all experience times where we are beaten down by the world. That final line adds a lot to this poem. Difficulties make us stronger, and none of us would be who we are today without our past and current pains.

Couldn't agree more! Thank you much for your time and review, Clifford :)
This - is - profound!....and powerful! Holy kwap. that ending is killer! I do have to say your musicality is iffy in a few places, but the progression is outstanding! I belief you have proven yourself wise beyond your age, for this is philosophy that the common individual wouldn't start thinking about until later in life. And here you are writing poetry with it! Good on you! Well done!

Wow- great words- sometimes we fall apart to fall together so true- but the falling apart and being upside down inside out not always a nice place to be especially if it’s a time where someone made u feel unloved and not important - we learn like this what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger- fight a little longer- the thing is to never give up- great words enjoyed reading🌹

Kind of you to say that. Thanks very much, KC :)
the stile is much how I right, hopeful but their is still darkness. Its okay to go dark, people like dark writing just add hope and you have done a grate job on both sides of the coin.
