Quiet Boy

Quiet Boy

A Poem by (Super) Heroes Never Die
"

A poem written about a friend. Here's to you, Ian. You see us for who we really are.

"

Labeled the freak

By the jerks of the world

And those who don't see with their hearts,

The Quiet Boy sits alone

And listens to what others can't hear.

He opens his eyes

And sees the true us,

All the things that we hide on our sleeves.

But we cannot fool the Quiet Boy,

We can only fool ourselves.

He sees us as the freaks we are

And all he does is stare.

Never does he dare

To call us on this

For us, these fools,

Have pushed him away.

A leper for nothing

An outcast for everything

Now he sits and he sits,

Waiting for the day

We open our hearts

And catch up.

Fabulous! It's so nice to see a piece that sheds light upon and boosts up the underdog or those who are not like the masses. I truly do hope some day that a persons uniqueness will be heralded as a good thing, rather than looked upon with scorn from those around.

Awesome ink!

Brilliant, it's ironic how the "quiet boy" see's the truth in all of us, he may not say anything, but he can interpret our every move, who we are, and who we're not. The fakes we come to be and our true selves. This was a nice write :)

Cheers,

"All the things that we hide on our sleeves." Was impressed by the maturity in this particular line. Not everyday you see someone your age use an expression like this ^^.
"Never does he dare

To call us on this

For us, these fools,

Have pushed him away. "

This turned me off to the Quiet Boy honestly. Apparently this individual can see in others what most are blind to, yet he decides to isolate himself due to ridicule. It'd have been nice if he perserveard--and pounded sand :p.
