As the apple rots

As the apple rots

A Poem by Jorge Ramos
"

a short song i wrote years ago probably in 2004

"
why leave so early, why go so late
its definate that with out his love all you do is hate

i found you out a time ago
and now i know you need to go.

like a panda that looses his spots
or a rabbit that never learned to hop,
as the apple rots and is never good for eating
his and your heart  start beating.

just as the time starts to slow down and reverse
and by the time i finish this verse
he and you will set a deep curse on me

I really like the photo you used to accompany this poem. The image you create in the text of the rotting apple really sets up the tone for this piece of writing. I really enjoyed reading it. If I were to offer a suggestion, I think if you were to end it with just "deep curse" and get rid of the "on me" it would make the ending more powerful, but that's just a personal opinion :) very nice writing.
