Butterflies Never DieA Poem by Frieda P
Previous Version This is a previous version of Butterflies Never Die. Days rush by so slowly, I wonder where you are your dancing heart now quietly screams to me you exited this world in hushed desperation to all with a kaleidoscopic blind eye's view
My soul aches for your broken innocence my mind wanders aimlessly to that day the sweetness of breath stifled too soon suffocating vile secrets to be restrained
All that remains are still photographs the lovely memories of life still standing a note to read between the lines silence for an inner demon snuffed
A butterfly perched on my arm the day you left it fluttered by without a care or uneasiness simply made it's presence of beauty known in awe it had no home just the wondrous freedom of flight
I wonder, are you in that place where butterflies never die? © 2012 Frieda PFeatured ReviewReviews
