Fairy Dance

'Some people don't believe in fairies, but if you look really close they're always there'

Fairies dance upon my soul

they string my heart 

with golden strands,

threads of silken crystals

swaddling it

 in love's whispers

*Hush little baby don't you cry*

they sigh in soft voices of angels

we're here with you always...

we float lovingly

 weaving hope and faith

we are the smiles and coos 

of babies' breath 

stellar bursts especially for you

we come out at night and play

amongst the night stardust

fiery bursts explode

magically transformed into

 love baubles floating freely

on zephyrs'

spirit and unbroken promises

This is for my dear friend Vic, who as you may already know does a lot of the artwork I've presented with my poetry. She's still struggling after a bone marrow transplant, but she's a tough butterfly warrior still putting out beautiful artwork.

Ha. I've done all kinds of work on my life. Construction, landscape, auto repair, janitorial, raod and parking lot striping, etc... Dentistry has it's own "heavy lifting"...
Honestly I love to work. I enjoyed every job I have ever had. I think dentistry is the most challenging of anything I have ever done because of the multiple responsabilities all at one time... That is why I love it so much. Never a dull moment. ;-)
Oh, and I have been a teacher's assistant and a camp counselor too... I don't envy your job! ha Fun, but OMG, those little boogers don't stop!

I'm going to have to pay closer attention and see if I can spot a fairie or two today. I was pretty sure I had seen them before, one perched on my left shoulder, and one on my right....always nattering at me to do this, or not do that. I never paid much attention to them, but now I am going to go see if they are still around. Hope I haven't squished them with my heels when last I brushed them off my shoulders. ;)

I love the way little fairies take it upon themselves to comfort and console their troubled friend and playfully distract and entice them with all things so beautiful and nice. We all have our fairies...don't we...?
